Litmus paper turns red in acids and blue in bases. (Many berry juices change color when pH is changed including strawberry, rasberry and others.) pH Test: The pH of a solution is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions in that solution. It is defined as the negative log of the H+ concentration in mol/liter. pH can be determined by an electric pH meter or pH paper. A pH < 7 indicates an acid solution.
